Outer Banks N.C. - A Great Place For A Vacation
Well let me start out by saying I went to view a resort and among the many gifts we received was a 3 day 2 night vacation. We had 45 days to activate it and then up to 18 months to use it. But not wanting to wait to take a free vacation we decided to take it immediately, which was about 45 days after visiting one of the nicest resorts we have ever seen.
Having never stayed in North Carolina we decided to go to Nags Head. Let me say if you have never been there you have to put it on you to do list. You go over this bridge and you are on an island that has an ocean on one side and bay on the other. This island goes for about 50 miles and the road is a straight as an arrow. It is a fairly narrow strip of land with mostly a lot homes on it.
Let me tell you folks it was like going back it time. There were a lot of places you could go out and eat, but not much to do except lay on the beach, fish and shop. There was a Wal-mart , K-Mart and a little mall but that was it. It was like going back in time when you would go on vacation to relax and rest up for the hustle and bushel of the rest of the year. If you looking for a place to enjoy some quite time with your family and friends where you to really get to know each other in a personal way this is it.
The hotel that we stayed it was really nice and one of the only places where you could still smoke without having to go outside and to bring the whole family along including your dog. I am not kidding half the people there had dogs with them and some even had two. You could see the ocean from the balcony and beautiful sunsets in the evening. The pool was great for cooling off and a pleasant place to meet new friends.
There were even some great attractions there like some of the highest sand bars in the world. They were so high people were hand gliding off them. There was also great seafood, we ate at one place where you could eat all the king and snow crab legs you wanted, along with any other kind of sea food that you can think of. On top of all that the deserts were fantastic, we almost had to crawl out of the place because everything we tried was great.
