Author: Looking for a new cue stick...this McDermott possibly..?
I would consider my self a bit better than the average beginner player...maybe closer to intermediate. Ive been looking around the net and came across this

Friends of mine have told me this is a good brand..well give me yalls opinion if this would be a good first stick. Oh and its 45% off the MSRP. thanks 
McDermott's a great value cue and carries a lifetime warranty. It's got a common joint size if you want to upgrade the shaft later as well. When I started getting serious about pool, I bought a McDermott. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the purchase if it's what you like.
